Methodical Technical Due Diligence
Following on from our previous post linking to a great article on “How to Survive Technical Due Diligence“, here’s an equally good, and equally detailed, set of posts from Mike Dunn, VP at Hearst Interactive Media covering his methodology for performing technical due diligence in the digital media industry.
It’s clear that Mike exercises an encouraging level of thoroughness and methodicalness in his assessments, which is something we don’t always see.
There seems to be a school of thought that says no stone should be left unturned in the financial due diligence process, no examination is too thorough, and yet the technical due diligence should consist of little more than calling up a couple of professors for a ten minute chat.
Our mission from the outset has been to introduce a more methodical approach to tech DD. It’s always encouraging to find others doing the same.
